The dim sum was good but a bit expensive for the amount. The Pad Thai was a little oversweetened but the Massaman Curry, Gang Kiaw Waan and Crispy Shredded Szechuan were all pretty tasty. Service was swift and friendly.
I had a takeaway from Paya on Friday night, chicken chow main, a king prawn dish and the king prawn spring rolls.
The spring rolls are amazing... they are tempera king prawns...(6 for 5.50) amazing value and very very good quality. The chow main and prawn dish were also very good quality too.
I'm very surprised by the reviews I've read. I have family in the far east, so travel to Malaysia and Singapore often and eat authentic, thai, Chinese and Malaysian food which puts many UK restaurants to shame, and Paya is one of the restaurants I would say has real authentic flavours and textures.
To be totally honest the food I ordered, 2 days in a row as I was so impressed, was extremely good and delivered before the time started on the app. Customer service was fine.
The only quip I had was the sweet chilli sauce seemed watered down with vinegar - as this is a free acomplement it did not really bother me.
I will most definitely be ordering from them again soon.
Was surprised to see the rating it has. I've had a couple of takeaways that were nice. This time I had crab and chicken chow mein and it tasted good, slightly salty but otherwise good.
