The Bear

I hosted a birthday celebration at The Bear in October, Michael supported me in building my perfect day, which consisted of 21 people for a sit down meal, followed by a ceremony, then disco and karaoke for an additional 30+ people. The meal was pre ordered from the main menu, and was served at the requested time brilliantly. All meals came out together, all food was hot and of great quality. A fantastic team effort from the kitchen and waiting staff! A DJ was recommended to me, and he did not let me down! He even started early at my request, so majority of my guests could enjoy the party but still have time to travel home. We had the whole pub singing and dancing along, enjoying their Saturday night at the pub! Overall, an amazing experience, thank you for everything!

We go there for the Tuesday night quizzes mainly but have popped in for a tipple now & then and have eaten here a few times. Quality food although the pork belly bites don't do my waistline any favours 😂. Nice guest beers on offer and a sublime Sunday roast. Would hugely recommend. Staff are wonderful too.

We used The Bear for a family christening celebration and the communication and service we received from the manager Michael was superb. The buffet was well catered for our party of 40 adults and several children, with more than enough food for our guests. The atmosphere was pleasant and family friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who are a credit to the pub. Drinks prices are reasonable too which helps. We will definitely be back.
