Visited here today. The reasons for 4 star review but everything else being 5 is that they advertise both English and Chinese food but only have an English menu. Staff are lovely and friendly. Pie, chips sausage and curry sauce are absolutely amazing. You won’t find a chippy better than this in Bassett. Well worth a visit.

The staff were so lovely and the price was really good. The battered sausage was amazing, one of the best we’ve tried and the chips were great. Definitely recommend this place so lovely!!!

The China Chef in Royal Wootton Bassett is simply one of the best Fish & Chip shops in Wiltshire and beyond. Helen and Kam run a clean , efficient and friendly business and display a real warmth towards all their customers. The food is always excellent and great value, especially when you see the size of the regular Cod! A visit here is highly recommended.
