Popped in for a drink and stayed for hours due to very friendly locals and fantastic landlord and landlady. This pub the most dog friendly pub we have ever been to. Dog treats on the bar and dogs allowed to sit on the chairs and make themselves comfortable. A warm welcome to anyone coming in and you leave feeling like a local. The food is excellent. We had the sharer platter with Mac n cheese & a bowl of spicy beans all delicious! A good variety of their own beers/ciders. Will definitely be back!
A fantastic time, Great beers a warm welcome and exceptional food for a very reasonable price. Great place for a laugh
On a break in Wye Valley, I noticed this tap house from earlier viewings around Ross on wye. I initially was en route to Ross beer festival (tho due to festival licencing laws, only so much capacity allowed in at once), I didn't want to arrive, if turned away. I settled on visiting the tap house, for a prologue. TBH, upon visiting this establishment, I never made it to the festival, there was no requirement. You have a wide selection of ales, (more than any festival), the welcome is fantastic & owners very knowledgeable, the landlady is gorgeous, she has a great pull, as I felt bad asking for a cask, which I saw her previously having difficulty turning the tap on this particular barrel. If you into your beers then I highly recommended, I will visit again, if when in the area
