The food was lovely. Had rustic bread and butter to share, a pasta bowl and pie of the day.
The spinach tortellini was so tasty.
Great location, in the winter it has raring fires, in the summer. Amazing outside space along the canal.
Fabulous Sunday lunches, and if you want a cocktail - order any of them - they are all fantastic!
Pleasantly surprised! One look at the menu yielded little of appeal and an expectation of maximum price for a minimum portion. However, after ordering our food arrived promptly, looked appetizing, tasted good with decent portion sizes. Although I was a little disappointed with the chips which came several minutes after my main course, 'fresh out of the fryer' but hard and chewy nonetheless. The decor and ambiance are lovely and I think in part that's why my chicken breast and chips cost 18 quid. The wife was happy with her prawn and chorizo linguine for £17 which is all that matters. Can't fault the staff who were excellent.
