Absolutely lovely food and amazing service :) cannot recommend this place enough :) xx
Fabulous service and delicious food! The cakes are to die for!
Quaint little place in the middle of Redruth town centre, which is an oxymoron in itself really.
The place is a nice little retreat from the.... Let's be honest here, grimness of the town centre itself.
A cute lighting fixture consisting of a light bulb on top of a high tea fixture.
The service is quick, friendly and effective. Initially offered a menu, I opted for just a mocha, I was pre-warned it came with two shots of coffee which I thought was a nice touch, gave me an option to back out of the commitment if need be. Still, it's 9am if course I need the two shots.
It's clearly a popular little place with every table filled up at 10am and it seems that every patron is on a first name basis with the staff.
Not much of downfall as much as it is an FYI, but it's an establishment in which you can clearly hear all conversations going around you. I'll take my coffee with a side of unintentional eavesdropping please.
Occasionally there's really loud banging in the kitchen area. Understandable in a small place but still made me jump each time.
There's a nice little outside area to sit at also, albeit right in the main street so I'm unsure how the experience would be, it's on a really steep slope so maybe don't have your coffee facing you when sat there.
The mocha matched, if not bested the likes of Costa and Starbucks and came with a cute little piece of Shortbread.
All in all, a pleasant experience for killing a half hour alone in Redruth.
Side note, to the best of my knowledge the place has no WiFi, and the signal is bad in the area so if you're going alone maybe bring a book.
