Although quite busy, this was a nice area to while away an hour or so after a visit to the hospital. The wind off the lake was rather a chill blow but there are several paths, trails and playground amenities for the children too. The cafe also overlooks the lake and offers rest and refreshment to the visitor.
There is plenty of car parking but you might have to adjust your first thought as they are scattered around the parkland.
The wildlife is plentiful and worth a watch as the swans, geese and other birds glide and fly around the water and tree lines.
Family friendly (watch out for the bikes), a good place to spend some time while visiting the area.
Lovely local walk. Flat tarmac path around the lake. A few different routes available. Great children's park/play area all recently done. One for under 4's and one for older children. Cafe serving hot drinks, snacks and ice cream both inside and out with toilets inside. Free parking, multiple car parks.

Nice restaurant for drinks &eats I've now reached the grand old age of 81yrs will be 82 later this year. I'm lucky to be able to walk quite a few miles without any trouble. Will be glad when things get back to normal, and I'm able to take my holidays abroad again. This year it's Devon not Cornwall but looking forward to a holiday
