Quiet Saturday Afternoon. Lovley front of house. Menu explained, slight wait for food (would you rather fresh of microwaved, I know I'd wait a little longer) the wait between ordering and the food arriving was accompanied by a nice chat with the front of house waitresses.
Before food was bought to the table a hot plate was bought over.
Homemade, delicious, mouth watering food.
Tucked out of the way of the high street, but well worth the extra few steps.
Recommend to anyone who enjoys this brilliant food culture.
I ordered Mumma's mutton, Rice & Peas and plantain. I also ordered two alcoholic cocktails. Quality and taste of food and drinks were that of a good standard. Customer service was good also! Food is priced fairly. I will definitely be returning.
A place like this has been needed in Reading for a while. From the decore to the service everything was first class. I have dined here a few times and it’s been very consistent and pure quality. The prices are reasonable and the lunch time deal is a bargain. It’s a beautiful place for a dating in the evening and the music and great service really sets the tone. The food is 10/10 every dish is packed with flavour and it’s so fresh. The cocktails are also amazing and if you don’t grab yourself a rum punch on your visit you’ll miss out (or a fruit punch for the drivers). Every detail was thought about from the children’s colouring sheets and black history books to the uniforms to the cute little flowers on the tables it’s definitely my new favourite restaurant.
