While in London, we got to check out an awesome, award-winning local pub about 30 minutes outside London. The inside was so lovely, cute, inviting, with a good amount of seating. They have a fully stocked bar at the entrance, offering all sorts of beer and wine, sure to find something that fits your taste buds. The restaurant created a kind of "sample" platter to share, with cheesy scones, cheese, and sausages. They were all so very tasty! Nice beginning to our dinner feast... For appetizer, we had King Scallops & Venison, and Scallops Gruyere Gratinated with Panko Crumb, Dunkin Toast, and Fresh Lemon. Both of them were so amazingly delicious! For main, I chose 6oz Fillet Steak, Scallop, White Crab & Tiger Prawn Gratin. It was just amazing and delicious! the steak was pure perfection! The sauce and jus was awesome! My hubby went with Banham's Chicken Breast, Gruyere Truffle Mac 'n' Cheese. It came with generous amount of chicken, soft and tender. Very filling and satisfying! We were all quite full, but that didn't stop us from getting deserts...we had Sticky Sticky Pudding, and Rhubarb & Custard. It was one of the best sticky puddings I've ever tasted! We had an amazing dinner, everything was exquisite! We enjoyed every bite of every dish. The service was very polite, friendly and accommodating. No wonder they received many awards!

Good local pub on the attractive green at Chapel Row. Excellently located as a stopping off point for walks through Bucklebury Common Very friendly landlord who mixes easily with the regular clientele. The added extra is a nice menu - good for both weekday lunches (see the soups and cheese platters) and for bigger meals. Outside seating at the back for those (too infrequent) sunny days!

It was lovely. It’s a really nice place, with friendly staff. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was peaceful. The food was delicious and looked really nice. We had a set menu (starter, main and dessert) for £25. There were vegetarian options available. I would definitely recommend!
