Even though I visited Ramsgate to experience the wartime tunnels, I think a visit to the Wetherspoon was the highlight of my trip.
The place is amazing. Right next to the harbour with stunning views of the beach and the town.
The place is massive. The server told me it can accommodate 1500 persons, and I believe her. I have never seen anything like it. Apparently, it used to be a casino that got converted into a pub.
The place is super cheap. I couldn't believe the prices. Eating and drinking at these prices at this location should be a crime.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.
We stayed nearby and wanted to visit because it was the largest Spoons on the country. The pub was right on the beach and sitting on the balcony, looking out at sea was lovely. It is a huge pub. Very clean. Has so many staff so no big queues when we visited and tables were quickly cleared. We visited on both nights of our stay. You can't beat their prices and its always nice pint or wine. Definitely worth a visit.
Popped into the Wetherspoons in Ramsgate around 7.30pm for a nice large glass of Villa Maria. Once you navigate around all the bikers outside the place is huge. It is a nice building and lots of seating area. It wasn't clear where the smoking areas were because I wanted to avoid them. However, I was sat right in the middle of it, on the top veranda. The glass balcony could do with cleaning and the tables were a bit sticky. However, staff were coming around cleaning them. The chairs are metal and when pulled out make an awful noise. You could hear the waves but it was dark so couldn't see much. The bar staff was pleasant. The wine was great however, this is one of those Wetherspoons that the prices are a little higher than normal.
