New review on the Social. They have a new chef Simon and he is excellent. The food and presentation are improved. Am looking forward to the new menu. All the staff are extremely good but shout out to Mikey who will create cocktails off-menu for me. The Social is a bar that values its regulars as much as new clientele. I came in at Christmas for my birthday and the table decorations were stunning. Try them and you won't be disappointed.
Very good food. Excellent cocktails. Service is spot on. I would definitely recommend. Live music on Sunday and really good roast dinner.
Wonderful new addition to the cocktail bar scene in prestwich! The staff are extremely professional and helpful. The quality of the cocktails are excellent, could not recommend this place enough.
Me and my friends have been a number of times since it has opened and never failed to be impressed 👍🍹🍻
Curiosity didn't kill these cats.
We've lived atop the empty venue and the builders parked outside so a gracious offer for soft opening couldn't be ignored.
It looked the same but different from the Orange Tree days. More in keeping with new Prestwich.
No QR scanning and too many staff without masks for this to be medical exemptom based. Hmmm.
There is a QR code to scan for the menu. Everything looks familiar and ticks most boxes. There are a few glitchy points about ordering from the web because the online menu differs, mostly on drinks.
We order a selection of starters and the Social Burger and ask for it all to come at once. Tick.
Service travels to all corners of the crockery cupboard, plates and boards of all shapes and sizes and miniature frying basket for chips.
The burger is the highlight. It tastes chargrilled, and crumbles ever so slightly when pulled apart.
The calamari are as good as you'll get away from coastal fishing restaurants.
The hummus is dry and hard to swallow.
The s&p chicken are sticky and tasty but lacks any real spice.
The garlic bread is ok, if a little greasy.
All in all, it hits the spot but it wouldn't take long to exhaust the menu in subsequent visits.
