The food at the Fleece Inn was exceptional, genuinely the nicest pub food I've had in a long time. Surroundings were lovely, very comfortable and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Only slight gripe was the portion sizes were a little small and that's the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars but I'm definitely visiting again!
Excellent friendly pub, the staff are a laugh with great customer service skills. The newly renovated exterior is ace! Worth a pint as the pub has been standing for hundreds of years.
We came to the Fleece had a lovely meal great service . The young man behind the bar was very informative he went out of his way to make our experience very pleasant. We would recommend this pub to our friends.
Never had a problem with the fleece.. Its just had some reno work as well so it's fresh.

I had lunch here mid week, fairly quiet. I really struggled to work out what else I would have needed not to give 5 stars, staff were very helpful and polite, food was cooked to perfection tasted great with good but not overbearing sized portions. The pub lets you take dogs in. I am visiting again with a family party and the pub have offered to reserve seats for us. Great place.

I reviewed The Fleece two years ago which I have deleted as it wasn't a glowing report. However I felt after last night's visit I needed to change my review.
Went with the future hubby for a date night covid measures are in place and being done very well.
We had to check-in at our table and download the app to order. All very straight forward and simple.
I think the guy that seated us was called Jack (I'm rubbish at remembering names) he was very helpful and made sure that the changes we asked for to the meals we ordered made it to the kitchen.
When the food came everything was correct and all meals were pipping hot which was a huge bonus. This may sound like an obvious thing but we've had a few meals out recently where the food has come out and it's been lukewarm.
I had the low calorie lasgne which was very tasty, one of the nicest I've had in a while. The only things I'd comment in was that the menu said I'd came with a large dressed salad .. it was a small handful of lettuce leaves with a few slices of cucumber and a slice of tomato.
My partner had Hunters chicken and gammon egg and chips (he claims he's still a growing boy 🤣) he made some changes to his meals and was very happy when they came out almost spot on. Only thing missing was the coleslaw from his hunters chicken.
All in all huge improvement from my last visit staff were helpful and friendly, food was very good, and it was a lovely end to a slightly tough day.
I went in to the Fleece for lunch today with two young children. One very active and one special needs. The staff were extremely attentive towards my children giving them both attention whilst I browsed the menu. The food came and was really tasty. The children cleared their plates which in my book speaks volumes. Even though the pub was quite busy the service was impeccable. I will definitely visit again. Thank you to the staff on shift for an excellent service, will be recommending you to all of my friends and family
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good quality drinks. Food was very nice and good portions. Very spacious inside, with nice outdoor area. Ample parking which is always a bonus. Will definately be back.
Staff and drinks are decent. The beer garden is pretty good and large although gets busy. Food could be improved. It is on the low end of pub grub
Absolute cracker of a meal Gemini on front of house was lovely, took care of us and our order fast and efficiently. Complements to Chef Matt for the amazing food ! Thanks again both, would definitely recommend.
Been to the fleece today enjoyed drinks in the sun in the lovely beer garden where a lovely lady was out cleaning up all the rubbish that was scattered around the garden whilst collecting glasses and making it la. I’ve place to be the staff were very good and the service was great will def be back.
