I wouldn't say authentic but it was nice to get a little St Maarten in Preston! I know us AUC students missed the island after Hurricane Irma's devastation and Turtle Bay definitely helped ease the home sickness. We decided to eat here last minute for a quick dinner, but we always walk by and see the place is popping like every night. The atmosphere is fun and colorful, just the perfect island vibe. Great music, all about the reggae and calypso. They were very generous with the drinks, I think they felt sorry for us med students freaking out over exams. I got a pulled chicken wrap while the bf got a caribbean jerk chicken pot. Generous portions, ok prices, not authentic jerk but, hey close enough in England. I believe we were there an hour before it closed, I'm not exactly sure when the promotion runs, but we got 2 for 1 drinks. Definitely recommended for a good time in Preston :)
My daughter and I stopped here for lunch today. Our waitress Lottie was lovely and very attentive. She took our drinks order straight away and we didn't have to wait long for our food either. The food was delicious, especially the prawns. They had a little kick but not too spicy. The cocktails were nice as well and it was good to see some new ones on the menu. Overall a pleasant experience.
We visited for bottomless brunch and our server Lottie was amazing. She made sure we were never without a drink and was so friendly. She really made our visit ❤️
The new cocktails were awesome and we'll definitely be back.
