I’ve just spent 2 nights at this delightful hotel, as I was attending a concert in the nearby Grand Pavilion to see Rhydian and Richard & Adam. My friend & I were welcomed to the hotel on arrival by the lovely Receptionist,Hannah. Our twin room was very comfortable with a magnificent sea view. We decided to have dinner in the hotel on our first night & were very impressed. The restaurant is light & airy and also has the lovely sea views. The food we chose was delicious and served to us by Hannah who yet again was a delight as she chatted to us. The desserts were absolutely beautiful & very well presented. After a good nights sleep we went down for a lovely cooked breakfast which was served in a further dining room also located on the ground floor. There is also a well stocked bar where we were served by very friendly & efficient staff. The hotel also has a lift to take you upstairs to the bedrooms, which we found very useful. We were at the hotel at a time when hurricane Brian was causing chaos with the weather & subsequently our travel arrangements too but the staff, including Hannah, went out of their way to help us make alternative arrangements and even came out to the taxi in the pouring rain & gales with our cases & wished us a good onward journey to Aberystwyth. We will definitely be returning to this great hotel in the future. For anyone travelling by train I would recommend going to Bridgend station, where you will be able to take a taxi up to the hotel (approximately 20 minutes away) DO NOT go to Pyle station!

Haven't had the pleasure of staying here but the food is worth a visit. One of the best roasts in Porthcawl, meat cooked perfectly and amazing stuffing. Staff friendly and good drinks offering with one of the best views in Porthcawl too
