I discovered Ellen's Wok rather by chance. The take-away offers great Chinese cuisine, and the menu is declared in an exemplary manner. The dishes are fresh and quickly prepared. On all my visits there, I was very satisfied and served in a friendly manner. Ellen's Wok is really a nice addition to the gastronomy on Islay.

We were all somewhat surprised by how good our takeout meal was. The two vegetarians were very happy with vegetable fried rice, tofu in black bean sauce and the salt and pepper tofu, and the pleasantly spicy salt and pepper tofu. Reports on King Prawn in Pepper and Black Bean sauce were very good. We didn't hear much while Peking Ribs and Szechuan Chicken were being devoured but noted that very little was left. All portions were very generous, so good value. Would definitely order again.

The food is delicious. Must be one of the best Chinese takeaways I've ever had. The king prawn with oyster sauce is amazing. salt and chilli fries, so nice.
