Arrived in Polzeath after walking from Rock and was looking for a little independent pasty place as I always do. Stumbled Upton the Pasty Cellar.
I had a lamb and mint pasty, while my wife had a traditional + a coffee. Both were smaller than most other places I've visited but they were also noticeably cheaper. They were very nice Pasties, plenty of meat in both.
My only criticism was the atmosphere was lacking a bit. As you can see in the photo the place needs a bit of TLC, perhaps a hanging basket to brighten it up, or at least pull up that huge weed outside, this nearly put me off going in. Also the staff didnt look very happy to be there, didnt engage in conversation.
I would visit again but I hope the owner take note of my comments to encourage more people to visit as they really do make good bites!
Had a Stilton and steak pasty for £3.80. Best pasty I’ve ever had.
Very tasty pasties served with a smile...yum
