Grants of castlegate is outstanding! This was my second time here and it definitely won’t be my last. I had the duck breast and my mum had the monkfish curry. The duck breast was one of the best I have ever had and the potato dauphinois was to die for. I could have eaten a whole tray. I had a bite of the monkfish curry and it was equally as incredible, so much flavour! For dessert we shared the dark chocolate creme brûlée which was so creamy and delicious. The atmosphere here is relaxing and the service is amazing, always so attentive. I don't understand why this place hasn’t received a Rosette yet! It needs more recognition.
Great food. The scallops and black pudding were perfectly cooked. Monkfish was served with lobster sauce and very crispy ham. Pork tenderloin was tender and served with pork shoulder pearl barley stew. Definitely have to save some space for dessert as the sticky toffee pudding was divine.
A group of 10 of us attended the Bottomless Brunch yesterday and what a spectacular afternoon was had by all!!! Wonderful service, great food and literally, not one glass empty for longer than 2 minutes....spectacular!! Thank You Heather and Steve!!!
