We had a very nice Sunday lunch here, really nice food I would highly recommend it to everyone. starters were great I had the squid calamari very nice and crispy and had a very hefty portion. next the lamb, for my liking the lamb was a little overcooked but not to bad as the roast potatoes were absolutely incredible the best roast potatoes I have ever had Very generous with the gravy you get some on the plate and then another small jug to go with it. once again the desert was immaculate warm brownie with ice cream was very nice. to my surprise the espresso wasn't bad at all obviously not the best I have had but the best from a pub. once again the service was very good and the Christmas decor was very cosy. and lovely
The Groes Wen is now owed by Ego Mediterranean Restaurants, with a all new menu the dish are beautifully presented and taste delicious. The staff always willing to help & friendly. It can get busy on weekends so I recommend booking early
Came today for Sunday lunch at 2 courses for £20. The place is lovely and staff we could not fault. The only reason for 4 stars is they do not cater for dairy intolerant, so was unable to have a starter or a desert, but still paid the £20 for a main Sunday lunch. Food was lovely, was just a shame that you don't have any dairy free options. Also just to advise parking isn't great, as is really busy, so had to find somewhere else to park.
