It's all about the hosts and they could not have been nicer or more fun. Our room had it's own entry and was in a very old building with thick stone walls but was clean and comfortable. They can even arrange dinner at night for a great price and it is very good indeed. Can't wait to go back and Pateley bridge is lovely and a great base to go exploring from
The accommodation here is quirky, vintage and a style of Japanese influence.
A small staircase takes you up to your rooms, above the tea rooms, where half way up is the owners living area.
The 2 family rooms have their own bathroom though not ensuite but the bathroom is spacious, very clean and has everything you would need.
In the rooms there are tea and coffee facilities, TVs and free wi-fi. Again everything is well presented. The beds are futon style and not spring mattresses so if you're not used to a firm bed you may struggle. Also if I had one criticism here it would be the need for more pillows. One isn't enough and I spent the next 2 days with a sore neck.
Above all the owners here are very courteous, kind and bend over backwards to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Their customer service is second to none
Breakfast was excellent, at a time of our choosing and we were offered any extras we wanted. They remembered our names, which I thought was a nice touch and you really don't have to lift a finger as they are on hand to help.
The shop sells a lovely selection of cakes and scones to go with your afternoon tea!
Attended with a group if touring cyclists Lovely reception by Yoshi. Her warm and friendly manner made the lads feel very welcome. The food was amazing and the accomodations quirky and seriously comfortable. Well with visiting.
