I went there on a recommendation and it exceeded my expectations. The portion sizes are big so you won't leave there hungry and members of staff are very friendly
An unexpected gem of a restaurant, in terms of the food and service, tucked away in a Bristol suburb. The decor is tired, the menus tatty and poorly printed, but the "special lamb chops" were absolutely delicious! The spice tray with the poppadoms was varied and delicious, the poppadoms themselves light and dry, not greasy. We both had lamb dishes - the Tal Lamb was beautifully tender with a mild flavoursome sauce and both rice dishes ( pilau and vegetable) were very tasty, with an imaginative mix of vegetables in the latter. But the tandoori marinated lamb chops were the stars of the evening - clearly there is a talented chef in the kitchen who really knows how to use herbs and spices!
Our friendly waiter was attentive and yet relaxed, even though he seemed to be working on his own.
Food is spot on, staff are very friendly and you don’t have to wait long, I highly recommend for dining in or takeaway. Also there is parking outside and have to bring own alcohol, but there is a shop a few doors down.
