Wonderful family run tea room / cafe set in a beautiful setting, with lovely gardens & outside seating overlooking the woods and countryside around Compton Castle. The cakes and drinks were perfect on our visit, the people serving were friendly & welcoming and the interior was a traditional English tea room decor, timeless and charming in it's own unique way. Recommended to call in at especially if visiting Compton Castle across the road.

If you want superb home cooked food in a family, homely atmosphere then this is 100% recommended. Been going here for about 30 years. Food 5* home cooked and their deserts are to die for😋.

Delightful afternoon at Castle Barton Restaurant. A quirky 'grandma's dining room' vibe and delicious food at a very reasonable price. Will be heading back there very shortly to enjoy another chocolate roulade with real clotted cream, though the brie & tomato brushetta and game pie were just as good!
