Magic Cafe is a gem in East Oxford. The food has been consistently scrumptious in an entirely wholesome bite! The seasoning and flavours of their salads - wow, always hits the spot, and are energising too. They are a very easy going and chilled out establishment. Friendly and non assuming. The cafe plays host to a changing display of local visual arts. I’ve been going for 9 years, alone, with friends, with family … and each time it’s a pleasure.
Wow! You must try their breakfast! I am no vegetarian but this had plenty of protein and it was so tasty.
It's a small independent cafe run by two lovely and relaxed humans.
It's a hidden gem. Family and kids friendly,
Although when I was there around 10am it was quiet enough to work on computer.
I'm a regular at the Magic Café and have grown to love that place so much! It's spacious, well located, lively and run by lovely people. The highlight is definitely the variety of nutritious vegan/vegetarian salats and mains for lunch - you always get a v full plate for a v reasonable price (rare in Oxford). The cakes are amazing, too. I am sometimes wondering how the Café's small independent team manages to cook up and bake so much high quality food every day (I think it might be magic after all).
