A little peace of heaven hidden away from the masses. Have been coming for years though our last visit was over a year ago - we brought some friends to experience this fabulous place. New owners are very friendly and welcoming - lovely homely atmosphere and the scenery cannot help but take your breath away. Didn't have time to stay for a meal but the gin was fab - with a little bit of sage out of the garden. Thank you.

Finally made it along for a meal in the new rejuvenated Oystercatcher. Having been coming to this place for 34 years I can honestly say this is the best incarnation yet!
The new owners are fantastic, friendly and have clearly invested a lot of thought in their vision for the place.
Starting with the good stuff... Their choice of beers is commendable - nice to see a real appreciation of Scottish produce and not going down the bland lager, heavy and cider route. Great to see the return of Fyne Ales!
The wine list I understand is being developed but even as it is - a small but good selection. We thoroughly enjoyed the Malbec.
I'm not a gin drinker but the choice was impressive!
And to the food - in a word amazing. There wasn't the usual pub food offerings but the result was all of us kids and adults trying new things and it went down well with everyone. You really can't beat good seasonal produce prepared with thought and imagination.
The coffee and (daily freshly made) cake are also top quality.
So, all in all 11/10
