Staying at a local campsite, chose the bridge over a couple of other local pubs. Not disappointed, Good selection of drinks. Lovely setting next to the river.
Food was great, could not fault it. Wifey had the risotto off the specials which she said tasted really fresh. I had the burger which was huge,
All at a reasonable price they offer small and large plates on most the menu, next time we are down we will defo be back.
Lets Talk Sunday Dinner. I often find that i'm let down by Sunday dinner when eating out, but not at The Bridge Inn. We walked down without a booking, the place was heaving (great to see), and of course they managed to squeeze us in. The first thing i'd like to point out, unlike many places that offer a limited selection of meats at the Bridge Inn you get a great selection, makes it hard to choose thought. I spotted a cheeky Lamb kebab for starter, when it arrived it was accompanied with a cus cus which i normally wouldn't bother with, this however was outstanding, so many lovely flavours, its changed my view of cus cus, and the kebab was fantastic. For main I opted for Slow Cooked Belly Pork which was OMG, it was fall apart and very tasty, and to get crispy roast potatoes in a pub, whatever next (how often are you disapointed with roast pots when eating out) well these were bob on. Seasonal veg and cauli cheese accompany the plated meal. Add to this great service, great drinks and what more could you ask for. Highly recommend you try Sunday Dinner, not that any other day of the week isn't just as good lol. Make sure you book or you could fine yourself with food envy. Enjoy.
Sorry about the rubbish photos, better next time :)
What a beautiful place we sat by the river to eat our meal. So much choice on the menu I wanted it all . The food was delicious and the staff are very attentive and friendly. This is definitely my favourite pub in the area.
