Tony and I decided to stop for food on our way home from a weekend away last night. We had always said we'd like to try this restaurant and never actually got around to it. As our route home from Gloucester took us straight past it, we decided to stop to eat. As it was Sunday, we had the Gourmet Night menu which was popadoms followed by any main, side and bread or naan for £10.95. Fantastic value!
The dish I choose was one I had never seen on any other menu but sounded really tasty, Chicken Tikka Jal Jul. It was amazing! Real depth of flavour and exactly the dish I had hoped for. The side I chose was, again, not one that I'd ever had before and was also absolutely spot on! (In case you are interested, it was Niramish (South Indian style dry shredded cabbage with carrot, coconut, cashew nuts and chillies).
The staff were incredibly attentive (but not overbearing) and all in all, we had a great meal. We will definitely be back and wish we had tried this place sooner.
What a wonderful place. The best Indian meal that I have had. With the most amazing home made chutney starters with the poppadoms. Very friendly staff and owner. You won't be disappointed
My daughter and i went to the Sunday buffet today. She is vegetarian and the waiter went above and beyond to accommodate her. The food was superb. Highly recommend. Lovely food, very pleasant staff and beautiful surrounding
