Food is amazing and service is nice, they are friendly and patient. Salt&Pepper squid is soooo crunchy and it is totally different from what I tried before. Crackers is so nice and have a nice flavor of prawn. Really really recommend this restaurant.
Firstly the restaurant is decorated beautifully. The atmosphere was elegant while still feeling cosy. Our starters came quickly and were delicious. We waited a long time for our mains unfortunately however when they arrived we were impressed with the presentation and flavours. I had the crispy duck with red curry and it was delicious. Overall: cons are that it was quite expensive and the waiting time for food was quite long despite the restaurant not being very busy. Pros are that the food tasted delicious and the atmosphere was great.
Just by walking past this restaurant, I could get a real sense of the ambiance, but its divine and tranquil nature was only solidified for me when I stepped inside the establishment. The decorations are superb and the seating is quite plush and comfy too.
The food was aromatic and fragrant while still retaining a richness and an umami quality which made the food so succulent and it left me hankering for more! I would definitely recommend the "Thai Favourite Basket" appetiser if you want to sample the full range of starters that Ma Ma Thai has to offer, especially if it's your first time delving into the zestful galaxy of Thai cuisine. There are definitely options on the menu to appease any palette, be it severely adverse to a hint of chilli, or the spice cravers of the world, so if spice scares you (as it does me), then don't fear because there's a wide range of dishes that are completely devoid of chilli.
The service was exceptional with jovial and accommodating staff.
I could not recommend this little gem in Nottingham enough :)
