Filthy's bar and club is a great modern asset to the thriving city of Nottingham. Located next to the Nottingham Contemporary in the heart of the Lace Market, it is both an eclectic and reasonably priced drinking spot. The venue itself is a wonder to relax in, with various musical posters, ornate seating areas and quirky decorations. The spot offers all the usual favourite drinks you expect but also offers it's signature 'Jam Jar Cocktails.' Coming in 8 very creative flavours, they are ideal for visitors wishing to try something different. The staff are incredibly friendly and the venue always seems to attract a wide range of people. At night, Filthy's transforms itself into an entertainment site. Monday's Quiz Night is always a great laugh, as is Open Mic Night which occurs on Tuesdays. Both of which are free entry, with the Quiz Night offering a grand jackpot each week and Open Mic supporting the 'pint for a performance' policy. At the weekends, Filthy's elusive Gypsy Lounge opens it's doors. The Gypsy Lounge club is a elegant room upstairs from the main bar. Encapsulating a very wild Gypsy/Circus theme, it sets itself apart from a lot of clubs within Nottingham. The night plays the usual chart toppers and boasts a great range of drink offers. During the week, many local acts take to the stage at 10pm to deliver brand new sets; many of which have gone on to play BBC Introducing and gain great success. Filthy's Bar and Club is always a joy to visit and offers a bit of something for everyone.
