Hidden gem.
Service:
We were served throughout by the same gentleman; whom was very softly spoken and did not overly ask about our meal (which can quickly become itritating), he was also very helpful in refilling our drinks and providing us with extra cutlery without hesitation (chopsticks are provided on each table, however, you can ask for other cutlery).
Food:
The food was to a higher standard than our intital expectation, especially considering the affordable prices (£8-15 for a main course and £3-6 for a starter). Portion sizes were also excellent, and we were even kindly provided with supplementary miso soup as part of our meal for free (albeit it is uncertain whether this is a common scenario because there was only myself and my daughter in the restaurant).
Overall, I had a fantastic meal that exceeded my presumptions and would highly recommend others to locals and tourists alike.
I have eaten there 3 times so far. Best place in Notts for the Japanese cousine. Love their sushi. Dishes look great and taste even better. Staff friendly and nice and prices are very affordable. I will certainly be back for more.
By far the best Japanese restaurant I've visited in the East Mids. Walked past this place several times before going in but now my son and I are hooked. One thing that visitors might not realise is that sushi is only a small part of what they offer, the menu is enormous!
