Well. It is a Spoons. So one knows what one is going to get. My purpose in this review is to draw attention to the staff. I visited here on the evening of St. Patricks Day 17th march 2024. Nottingham City Centre was totally manic. Not only were the students out in force, but it would also seem that there was some sort of national cheerleaders competition going on that day as well. Although the service was slower than even normal for a Spoons. I would just like to say the staff made a very admirable job under the circumstances. Thank you.

Visited twice. Once Sunday night, and then for a lovely cooked vegan friendly breakfast.
Busy Sunday night, the bar team wasn't very aware of who was next at the bar, leaving me waiting a while to be served while others jumped in, and my drink had to be repoured as the lemonade syrup had gone. But once I got their attention and they helped me, they were really friendly and kind.
My partner went to the bar to order breakfast, so I didn't have any interaction with the bar team Monday morning, but the food was delicious and absolutely incredible value for money. Love their vegan cooked breakfasts. I do get extra mushrooms, tomatoes, and a hashbrown as it's not quite big enough for a treat day breakfast. But amazing value all the same.
Toilets are downstairs, by the way, for anyone visiting. I asked a possible regular where they were, and he was super friendly, pointing me in the right direction.

As it was open when everyone else was closed (New year's Day) hence we were a pretty captive audience. I was heartened by the fact that the food was good and service too.

Good atmosphere here. Even the door staff are polite and friendly- in particular iffe, but wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him 🤣

It's the spoons with the most atmosphere in Nottingham. Sometimes you have a little wait to be served but not too much. Can get busy Friday and Saturday nights, Staff pleasant food as good as any other spoons.

Burgers were really good. I had to remind staff after I purchased that it was 2 for 1 but no big deal and refunded difference quickly with no probs.
Atmosphere only rated 3 because it was a random Monday afternoon and really quiet. Staff were nice and friendly.

Good cold lager. Professional service. Really comfortable seats on first floor. Interior here has been well designed. You have another bar located on a huge balcony with nice view on downstairs part of the pub

Dropped in for breakfast. Ordered via the QR code. Food served quickly, all hot and clearly fresh. My only disappointment was that the poached eggs and mushrooms were overcooked. Despite this, all tasted good.
Spent £15 for 2 breakfasts with unlimited hot drinks.
Found all staff to be friendly.
The food isn't amazing quality, but I feel the price reflects this. Perfect for a quick, relatively cheap bite to eat.
