A most usual and unique experience, in the best possible sense. One of a kind in Nottingham, Storybooks offers a teatime experience with a twist: the staff dress and act in the character of a variety of fantasy favourites. Our visit on their opening day (03/11/18) gave us Elphaba (wicked witch), Tinkerbell, and the Mad Hatter. Singing and dancing and many silly hats were the order of the day alongside delicious toasties, sandwiches tea and coffee at reasonable prices. Couldn't commend the staff more, and they had us in stitches for a good couple of hours. Approach with an open mind, and you'll have a great time. I can imagine children would love this place. You'd be mad to miss out! (See attached picture for a taste of what's in store).

Went there for the first time today with my toddler after a recommendation from my wife.
Went just after midday and the had the whole place to ourselves. Went for the Brie and onion toastie but sold out, fair enough still plenty of choice. Food was nice and quick and very tasty. Real draw was a freakshake which was utterly amazing! Be going back just for one of them. My kid loved the food and the member of staff on today was polite and attentive but not overbearing considering we were the only people in for the hour we were there for.
It’s not quiet because it isn’t good, it’s quiet as it is just a bit off the beaten track, more people shout about it and support a local unique business the better!
This place is beautiful and the staff are very friendly! Well worth a visit.
