Excellent modestly priced French bistro offering a good selection for their weekday dinner 9.95/12.95/15.95 for 1/2/3 course menu. Most of what we had over two visits has been very good, standouts being moules mariniere and roast pork belly. One negative - I should have avoided the coq au vin given it featured chicken breast and the breast was indeed very tough and dry, a shame given the dish otherwise nailed it. Have not needed to go beyond the house red for a decent drink.
It was as good as I'd remembered, if not better. The decor is quaint, all the waiters we were served by seemed to have just stepped out of France...For my main course I had a pan fried Hake with Atlantic prawns and a white wine sauce. It was delicious! The fish was so meaty and perfectly cooked Poached salmon with a red wine sauce and crushed peas
Absolutely love this place. Have been a few times and the food is always good. Adventurous and tasty, big portion sizes, varying menu that’s changed pretty often, and deals on 2 courses that make it super worth the money! The setting is very luxury and there’s always a good vibe, the staff are great, and wine is good value too! One of the best in Nottingham for good value for money, as a student, it was great for affordable but fancy celebrations.
