Lovely pub, staff are all friendly and happy to go the extra mile for service.
We went paddleboarding then stopped at the pub for food & drinks. Unfortunately due to allergies, once we queried with bar staff due to other things being cooked I could not eat anything on the menu, however they spoke to the chef who offered to make me something else. Really appreciated this, and it was nice to know they take allergies seriously. Meal was lovely.
Thanks to the two bar staff, and the chef who helped us out that day!
We love this pub. It has the most amazing garden next to the river. Food is very reasonably priced with large portions. Staff very friendly and family run.
Full of smiles and singing and laughter and Karaoke was in full swing. Drinks reasonably priced and we sat out in the garden watching the river roll by as the sun went down. A lovely evening in a lovely bar!
They do food, pool, paddleboarding and have live music here too - well worth a look!
Loved the ambience here, I'm posting this review late, me and my work colleagues booked for one their pods on the first day of pubs reopening (12th Apr)it was quite a busy evening, but very well taken care of precautions.
Each pods has a dedicated heater and fairy lights, unfortunately our lights in the pod had gone down, couldn't turn them on despite everyone's efforts haha! (Hope its been corrected by now)
Lovely beers and Delicious food, I would definitely recommend The Gibraltar Rock Burger 🍔! Solid choice.
Service was quite slow, but I understand it was due to the limited number of staff they had on their first day, handling the large crowd.
Wish they had a special treatment for the people inside the pod (coz ppl pay extra for it, lol)
But it was really sweet of the lady to come down to each table and talk to people! It was a nice gesture (I assume she's the owner of the pub)
Overall experience was fantastic and it's a place that stays memorable!
Absolutely great pub. We had dinner in one of their pods and were so well looked after. All the staff were really friendly and made the evening even better. Great location by the river too.
We went to the paddleboarding place in the grounds.of the pub and it was fab!! The staff were lovely and welcoming and we had so much fun!!
Great atmosphere..
Bar staff were very efficient and safety measures followed with the restriction to table service only.
Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Sunday Roast in the Pod was a great experience.
I will be telling my friends and returning. Thanks for a lovely day.
Arrived by canoe, two kids and myself. Great they have a floating mooring point, kids loved saying hi to the chickens, and I had a good pint of ale.
we dined out in one of the pods which was lovely; it had its’ own heater, speaker, lights to control & blankets. i came in with my own canned drink as i cannot drink fizzy drinks, and they took that away from me where there were no notices to say i couldn’t bring my own drink into the place. there were quite limited choices for drinks and even moreso limited choices for vegans which was difficult. two of us had the vegan burger which was nice but slightly dry; the chips, fish & chips and halloumi fries were lovely. our waitress was helpful although a small incident occurred which the manager kindly sorted out. it was a bit of a wait for food & drinks as the place was so busy, so be prepared to wait a little while in peak business time. all in all a nice experience, but would be made better with more options for vegans & drinks choice.
Booked wake via messenger. Good food well presented, all dietary needs met. Resolved misunderstanding regarding provision of tea/coffee however perhaps it should be noted as optional extra on menus. If it is I missed it. For future wakes the family may like a area set aside for memories books,Photos ect, We rejigged and sorted it but as most wakes have this now.
