Always been a nice atmosphere, going there nearly weekly for more than 6 months.
However, I don't know if they've got not enough staff or not experienced/trained staff because the food has not taste either you get a burger, fish fingers, nuggets, hot dog smells horrible and taste like being expired for long time, and the chips are totally tasting like soil
I really hope they improve their service soon
A revisit, for the first time in probably 10 years, since I stopped working in Northampton. We'd been to the museum for a Heritage Open Day event, and when we came out a brass band was playing in the bandstand near to the cafe.
We both had the cod and chips, which was good without being outstanding. The batter on the fish was very dark, but it tasted ok. The chips were very good but needed more salt which wasn't available on outside tables and since we'd already had to go on a vinegar hunt we decided to go without. The mushy peas and tartare sauce were also very good. I can't comment on the ketchup as I'm not a fan, but I did taste it and it was.. ok.
I recently visited The Park Café and had a generally pleasant experience. However, I must admit that the flat white coffee I ordered didn't quite match the traditional flat white taste I was expecting. On the upside, the café offers plenty of seating options with a great view overlooking the band playing in the park, which created a lovely ambiance. The highlight of my visit was definitely the chips – they were perfectly cooked and delightfully crispy. While the coffee may have disappointed, the overall experience at The Park Café was enjoyable, thanks to the great seating and delicious chips.
