Our first visit. It was for Sunday lunch. I was quite busy. We had to wait over 40 minutes for our food but it was good when it arrived. We had roast lamb and roast beef. Both meals were hot and attractively served. There was plenty to eat so we did not need a dessert. The lunch menu is a little limited with 3 choices for starters and desserts but the mains were value for money. There is car parking and an outdoor seating area.
Just been for Sunday lunch. The meal was excellent and the portions sizes were unbelieveable. I couldn't eat any more and still left some veg. So pleased I didn't have a starter and no room for a sweet.
Staff were friendly. Service was quick. The pub has had a makeover since I last visited and provides a nice comfortable place to eat.
I would highly recommend and will definately visit again. The price was also very reasonable.
Friday 3:30pm popped into The White Heart as staying locally fishing for a week and after shopping we fancied a pint, the beer was like nectar to us.
Warm welcome from the lovely landlady and on asking when they serve food we ordered there & then, my wife being a Vegan choose the one item on the menu, a really delicious curry which was fabulous.
I ordered the Haddock, triple cooked chips which were truly as described and the best ever, plus mushy peas chosen mmmm.
I asked for some onion rings as it was obvious they would make them themselves and they definitely did, joint best I ever had in my life.
The Haddock was huge, something opposite to every other place I eat at these days as they all shrink the size, for obvious reasons. The landlady did tell me they do ‘Light Bite’ options of lots of the meals, including the Haddock, and when in the area again it will defiantly be my choice and believe me I love my food.
Loved it, loved it, loved it!!!!!!!!!!
