I am very fussy where food is concerned and I can tell you honestly that this pub's food is gorgeous. I dined with my husband and 2 children aged 5 and 12 years. My 5-year-old had fish in batter with home-made chips and beans and his portion on his plate was adult size. He obviously didn't eat it all, but this is just an example of how much food you get. My other son had mushroom strog with rice and vegetables in the adult size and that was also plenty. My husband had the battered fish with chips and mushy peas. The only downside was the fish could have been a bit bigger, he said. I am vegetarian and had the most amazing mushroom, spinach and cranberry tart. Would highly recommend the friendliness of the staff and the whole ambiance of this little village pub. Will go again.

Enjoyed an excellent meal last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary the fried halloumi strips were perfectly cooked and so tasty I'm hooked ! My husband had cheeseburger, again perfectly cooked with tons of flavour I had the lamb shank from the specials board meat fell effortlessly from the bone a beautiful meal obviously cooked fresh. Service was great as always and just a 5 min walk away 2 happy locals � ty x

Had 2 great meals here while visiting from the US. Excellent food, friendly staff & very accommodating. Sunday lunch was delicious & my son especially enjoyed the burger during our other visit.
