We stopped to get food on a long journey and this place is brilliant. They do excellent chips, not too salty, very nice fish, gluten free options, veggie options, really delicious and very helpful about timings and extras. It was busy, and I'm not surprised!
We have used this chippy multiple times in the 4 months we have lived in Newent and the chips are consistently good. They remind of chips I would have as a kid. I wish they wouldn't have to reheat the pies in the microwave sometimes but I understand it's a lot of waste if they are not sold from the hot cabinet. My family attest that the fish is very good too. Portion sizes are very generous.

Well impressed. Cod and chips, decent size portions. Lovely tasty food. No soggy greasy batter, and chips were best I've eated in ages. Well impressed. Will definitely come again.
