This was an impromptu, as we happened to pass by this place. This hasn't got a lot of reviews, so I guess it's a new place.
We had Hugo's Full English breakfast, poached smoked haddock and breakfast drink. The taste was out of this world. It was cooked with such dedication and passion, which made it visually so pleasing. The interiors were beautiful and the staff were extremely polite, patient and welcoming.
Thoroughly enjoyed.

I honestly can't think of any negatives. Even if I wanted to nitpick, I find it extremely hard. This place is a 💯/💯. Do check it out if you are new to the city. You are definitely in for a surprise 😉!
Went with a friend for Newcastle restaurant week. Was seated promptly and was given a window seat which was a nice surprise. Good value for money as it was a set deal 2 courses for £20 service was quick, polite. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Good portions well cooked and different interesting flavours. Definitely not run of the mill. Good list of wines at reasonable prices. Only downside was their seemed to be an odd atmosphere about the place. Something felt off. At times had the feeling staff were looking down at us, or were a bit cool towards us. Had the feeling of being watched or monitored which was off putting. My friend said the toilets were clean and well maintained. Would not return had the feeling we weren't wanted.
What a restaurant! The decor is classy and stylish. The staff are friendly and attentive. The French onion soup was moreish and rich. The Sunday dinner was good too - cauliflower cheese being included as a standard trimming is a game changer. The set course is real value for money. Will definitely go back and try more of the menu… but will save some space for dessert!
