I first experienced this "little gem" 2 weeks ago, when I visited the dance shop in Forest Hall. On the outside it looked like an ordinary cafe. However, we were welcomed as soon as we entered. Although very small, the owner managed to accommodate some seating (much to our delight). He was lovely, we were unsure what to have as the menu had traditional food and traditional Iranian/Persion, I think. We opted for Chicken Shwarma Wraps and were not disappointed. I had a house blend made cappuccino, which was amazing, better than leading brands. I purchased a freshly ground bag to take away. I said we would return again. It was a delightful visit.
We had to return to said dance shop today, so we popped in again. The owner had remembered us and our order, bless! Once again, our wraps were perfect. All food is freshly made, I even tried one of his beautiful homemade fruit scones 👌👌. It was also lovely to see he had regulars sitting enjoying food. KEEP UP THE GOOD Work, your food and cafe is fab. It was well worth the travel from Durham. 😍❤️
Great little café with an eclectic menu: many British standards such as scones, omelettes, and good looking tray bakes, alongside Egyptian savouries and desserts. The soup is served with delicious cheesy bread and on my 2nd visit I had a very tasty falafel wrap. Service can be slow as thé dishes are cooked to order.
Friendly staff who cannot do enough to assist you. Lovely coffee which was their own blend.
