What a gem. Cozy restaurant with about 25 covers serving first rate fish and seafood. Creative and smartly executed and every bit the equal of anywhere else in Newcastle. Just come back from three days eating in some of the best new places in London and would happily place Nova as their equal if not superior. Charming service without pretentions. We went with our children and they were more than happy to do them some fish and chips compared to our more complex dishes from the main menu. Great value wine. Food not cheap but great value for ingredients of this provenance and skills at this level. Deserves to do very well - I hope it does and would encourage any passing visitors or locals with an appetite for anything other than the vast slabs of smoked meat and floppy pizza that has for so long passed as good food in Newcastle to give it a go. Thanks to the team for the bravery in getting this going. Long may it last.
I visited Nova on a Friday evening with my partner and I must say that a visit is an absolute must.
The restaurant is small and intimate and very tastefully decorated.
We dine out regularly in and around Newcastle and I don’t hesitate to say the food is outstanding as was the attention to detail on every plate. 1st class dining at a very reasonable price and a very welcome addition to the Newcastle fine dining scene.
Can’t recommend this new and innovative seafood restaurant enough.
Wow! This restaurant was fabulous, as a party of 15 they certainly had their work cut out for them and they exceeded out expectations! The service was exemplary, attentive and quick.
Usually, when we go out there is a drama with mixed up orders or lost food. We were all delighted that this was not the case.
An intimate venue with delicious food, ambience and attention to detail.
Make sure you try this new restaurant, you will not be disappointed!
