I popped in here with my friends earlier today for the odd chat, which happens to be once in a blue moon. I'm a mystery shopper by trade, and although I was not commissioned or paid to write this, I feel that this review is needed because I'd like to briefly reflect on how great my experience was today. I usually assess and review larger chains as part of my job but was very pleased to find, and support, an independent today. I was astounded by the exceptional level of customer service I had experienced here. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly and helpful, beverages reasonably priced, tasted great and served at the perfect temperature, and the décor was very modern and relaxing. The background ambient music being played was at an acceptable volume and the Christmas music being played was upbeat yet not too intrusive on our conversation. I also particularly enjoyed looking at the books and artwork devoted to renowned poet Dylan Thomas on the first floor. With regards to hygiene and cleanliness, I found this shop to be absolutely spotless. Tables were cleared quickly and professionally after previous customers had vacated, and the unisex toilet was one of the cleanest and most modern I have ever seen in a shop of this type. As a result of my visit I shall endeavour to visit this coffee shop again. Unfortunately, as I work predominantly in Swansea, it's not often I happen to visit Neath, but the next time I do, this shop will be at the top of my agenda.
