Love this place, so much to see and you'll get lost for hours. Some things are pure tat and shouldn't be for sale, but that is a small minority.
I took a star off, because of the food. They are charging premium prices for frozen food.
My wife had the fish and chips, and it was a small frozen fish and a handful of chips. This was a cheap frozen fish fillet, and frozen chips. I had the steak & kidney 'pie'. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of it, but it wasn't a pie. It was a stew with a puff pastry lid. A fair few of the bits of meat were very grisly and the lid just collapsed. I needed a spoon to eat it, not a knife and fork.
At £14 for the pie and £13 for the fish, I expected quality and they didn't serve it.
This took the shine off what was meant to be a nice lunch, and I felt that the £40 I paid should have been less than half of this as it isn't worth it.
In my opinion, go to Dagfields for the shopping experience, and go somewhere else for food.
Give yourself loads of time when visiting, because there is plenty to browse through. Numerous units at Dagfield just ram packed with antiques, retro and bric-a-brac goods, which you can very easily spent 3 hours looking around especially if you use the cafe for a brew with a bite to eat, (which sell some very tasty home made cakes).
A nicely laid out place with plenty of free parking, toilets and cafe located central in the complex, it's so handy in all weather's, because each unit is not that far from the next, so you don't really get that wet or that cold while your walking around.
Here they don't only sell to you, but they will also buy your olde stuff off you, so if you haven't been here for a while you will notice many more item's included in the stock and probably things you've not even seen since you were a child - it's cool and worth a visit if you've got a few hours to kill or looking for something different.
Can’t believe we’ve never visited before. More antiques than you can imagine. Second hand books, furniture and a tea room to boot. Plants and crafts. You name it they have it. Free parking too
