Visited Rutherfords today for a coffee and also a wander around the shop itself. Quite nostalgic as I used to visit here alot when I was a child and I don't think it has changed at all.
The shop itself has a huge variety of brands you can't really find on other small high streets, benefit, Molton brown, Radley, joules to name a few. Today there was a sale and quite a few bargains in store.
The shop staff are friendly and all say hello hut never feel overbearing.
The cafe is the same as the shop, hasn't changed in years. Coffee was as you would expect from a cafe selling Pumphreys coffee, quite strong but good. Breakfast was a simple option of granary bread, scrambled eggs and bacon, cooked well and plenty on the plate.
If you're in morpeth the shop is worth a wander for something a little different.
Great hidden gem. Always busy, good sign, so be prepared to wait.
Menu is limited, but food is tasty. We ordered bacon baguette, plenty of bacon in it and came quickly. Staff were lovely and keen to help.
Would recommend.
One of the longest surviving department stores in morpeth. It offers a range of quality goods from homewares to clothing. All very well presented but certainly not the cheapest.
