Happy Dumpling 365

Trying a new take-away can at times feel like into a bit of a leap into the unknown - people quite often tend to be creatures of habit when it comes to food, but after taking the leap myself to try some dumplings, I feel like I have to go out of my way to credit the experience. As a member of the generation that's addicted to technology and averse to social interaction, I always appreciate the opportunity to order things online. Ordering via the website was simple and easy, with the option to pay either by card, or by cash on delivery which is nice and flexible. As for the food itself, I was impressed - I ordered a selection of dumplings (pork & vegetable), some noodles, spring rolls, and some of the sweet treats, and I have to say I was very happy - I have some experience with Chinese cuisine before, but it's different to your typical takeaway. It has a home-prepared feel (not the MSG tinge that you sometimes get) but is still full of flavour. My favorite was the vegetable dumplings. Another thing to mention is the price point - at time of writing, very good value is offered on both food and delivery for a takeaway in comparison to others around town. A filling, tasty meal for two people for around £10-15 is great in my opinion. Based on my expectations, I think five stars is well deserved. I do have some points of feedback where I think things could be made better which are : - Tracking order online could show more clearly when order has been acknowledged. At the moment, it's something like a small notification that appears at the bottom right of the screen which changes when the order has been progressed. It's a little hard to notice this - Would be better if there was a dedicated page to track the order. (If this exists, and I've been silly and not noticed this, I apologise) - Better descriptions on website. When I was selecting the food, I'd like a little more information on what things contain if possible - for example with the noodle dish, the description was just 'fried noodles' so I wasn't exactly sure what I'd be getting. (Minor thing since what I did get was pretty much exactly what I wanted) - More choice! I need to try the other types of dumpling available but I feel like if there were more options on the menu generally I'd appreciate it. All in all, very happy with the overall experience and will be ordering again.
