What a truly outstanding little tea place offering home baked cakes, scones and other delicious treats. It’s hidden away slightly from the Main Street down a side alley but its worth looking for it. The staff are friendly and helpful and the place has a great feeling about it. I visited it together with my daughter and we enjoyed a lovely Cream Tea there. The scones were warm and you get some clotted cream and jam with as well as a some butter if you prefer that. I would definitely come here again and am considering booking afternoon tea here as we had such a pleasant experience. It’s a smallish place but they offer customised service and will even allow you to hire out the cafe for private functions.

We enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea here recently. Beautifully presented selection of delicious little homemade cakes, scones with jam & cream, selection of tasty sandwiches all served with a large pot of tea. Lovely little tea room. What a treat. Friendly service. Highly recommend.

What a lovely afternoon our family had partaking in the afternoon tea. We booked the day before which we were so glad of as it was fully booked. Such friendly & accommodating staff nothing was too much trouble. The sandwiches were made with specific dietary requirements also certain cakes. All homemade. The scones were so light the best we’ve ever tasted. A cosy quaint tea room with a lovely friendly ambiance would highly recommended a visit. If we’re visiting Monmouth again we will definitely be back. Thank you very much from The O’Brien Family
