Whilst visiting the Moffat Woolen Mill, we decided to try the Stag Hotel for lunch. We were welcomed as we came through the door and seated in next to no time. The menu was very comprehensive and offered great value for money. The food was served very quickly and was well presented. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much bother. We will certainly visit again and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Well worth the 5 stars.

Lunch was fantastic, beautiful presentation and food quality superb. We all had something different and were delighted with our meals. Thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone visiting Moffat. Despite the country and western music from the juke box it was enjoyed by us all. Most definitely be back soon.

I stayed here 31st January. Lovely hotel friendly place the staff were really nice, David the barman was very chatty made us welcome, along with an elderly local man. We ate dinner it was amazing the Bull and Cock Sizzler was amazing steak chicken homemade onion rings and mushrooms and chips. Was nothing better than excellent. They room was lovely and fresh and comfortable. The toilets in the bar were brand spanking new. As we had early start and not having breakfast, the owner arranged pack lunch for us. Thanks so much I will defo return back for a visit. EXCELLENT
