Always good food, nice selection of beer/cider, friendly staff, a lovely “feel” to the place. Living in a town as I do I just wish there was a great pub like this one close to hand. (As an aside, previous reviewers complaining about hunt supporters being in the pub are judging it unfairly based on their views on hunting - which I agree with - rather than the pub itself which is great)

We like the rooms ! Very clean and comfortable .We like the food ,good choice and well cooked and served .Good helpful staff. Lovely little village .Stayed there several times and hope to go again soon.

Hubby & I enjoyed a lovely roast lunch, I chose the beef & kev had lamb. Scrummy puddings after, I had Dorset apple cake & custard, Kev the sticky toffee pudd, delicious meal in a great place.
