Upstairs (so not for buggies or wheelchairs!) with large bay windows overlooking the street, dated/oldey world decor, relaxed atmosphere. Food was excellent value and freshly prepared.
Stopped in on way back from holiday for lunch, would loved to have tried the desserts. 5 of us had adult mains and a drink each, total cost under £60.
Very discrete doorway with only an A sign on the pavement but the menus and pricing were just what we wanted.
I had pork in cider and apple sauce and my wife had the fishcakes we don't normally have deserts but the mains were so good we weren't going to pass on this, I had my all time favourite treacle tart with custard and my wife had the lemon and ginger crunch, the food was freshly cooked with fresh vegetables and the deserts were amazing
Definitely my go to place next time I'm in Minehead
Went in for lunch just before closing time, most places would have said no with only 5 minutes to last order's but with a smile yes ofcourse.
Really glad we did had mains and dessert, so beautifully cooked perfectly executed vegetables with pork loin braised in cider and apple, pipping hot. Taken back to reminiscing working in Jonathan's hotel & restaurant, Birmingham. Very similar interior and music.
Finished with homemade desserts of bread & butter pudding also apple & blackberry crumble absolutely spot on guys real homemade. Great service to boot !! Only criticism is your too CHEAP!! For that quality total bill for 2 people including dessert and drinks £29 👌 👏 wow !!!
