This was our first time at Base Camp in Middlesbrough, we came to see some rock/metal bands play here , it's a quirky place but very well thought out with one room leading onto another, I think it must have been some kind of factory on one point in it's life but has been transformed into a gig venue , as well as staged area there are seating areas & a bar which also serves food , the staff are very friendly & our overall experience was very good , because of where it is there is only parking on the surrounding streets near by , it it located not far from the A66 just off from the A19 so easy to get to by car , use a satnav & it will take you straight there , it took us just over an hours drive from Newcastle upon Tyne so it's great if you live in Middlesbrough as it's not far from the city centre .
I visited the Base camp today and to be honest I was very skeptical as I was trying vegan food for the first time, however I was very impressed the food was amazing, very very tasty and the staff were so friendly. The building itself is very quirky and it has a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely encourage you all to try out the Base camp highly recommend!!!
A great event space with some nice projector displays that entirely light up each wall!
