Friendly greeting despite arriving 25 minutes before opening. It was a cool damp morning and the manager kindly served me to a coffee before opening time. A strong filter coffee for £2.50. I did notice a tempting selection of cakes and quite possibly pork pies. I'll bear the latter in mind for future reference

Had a family lunch 30 Aug 2023, the food was lovely, everyone really enjoyed it. Also had the pork pie which is made on the premise, it was fantastic.

Good food in a homely environment although personally I didn’t value the dogs company watching me eat. Staff initially forgot we had entered so we did not get table service, however, this is a great eatery in a pleasant rural location with food that is value for money
