Booked for a table of 16, having just finished a day of trading over the road at Tattoo Tea Party at Manchester Central. The venue was ideal as we could walk over and leave cars parked underground at the convention car park. The venue had kindly put us all together on one long table at the far end of the restaurant in our own private little area, which was amazing.
We had been bodypainting all day as an entertainment exhibition (BPEUK - check us out!) and so had bodypainted models with us and none of the staff even batted an eyelid.
We went to the bar and ordered individually to keep track of who ordered what etc, and food was super fast and mostly correct. The odd mistake with drinks etc, were corrected really quickly and so cannot complain.
The food was fast, flavoursome and did the trick. A few people had dessert, and all picked the chocolate tart, and sadly all of them said they wouldn't have it again, but there were other options available.
Everyone allergies were checked carefully, a file provided with all the usual allergens so people could check their meals before ordering etc. And those with an allergy, got their meals before everyone else to avoid cross contamination.
On the whole, a great meal. Its hard to cater for large groups, and we're really grateful for being accommodated so easily. Many thanks to all the staff.
Food very good for the price. We had the 2 meals for £11-49 plus starters & puddings, plus a decent bottle of wine. Served by the lovely Jayne. Nothing was too much trouble, we will return.
Our train was cancelled so we called here for a meal.
We had the haddock and chips which was very nice. The staff were very pleasant and the service efficient.
